Holiday Magic at the Park! Santa arrived on a fire truck to greet American Fork residents at Robinson Park by the Library for the annual tree lighting ceremony. Santa gave a stirring speech encouraging us all to be a ‘Santa’ and look around us for those in need. Mayor Frost spoke about the Freedom tree at the north end of the park and asked for a moment of silence to remember the soldier for whom it was planted in 1973. Santa and Mayor Frost then lit up the park together while Mrs. Claus, the AF royalty and assembled crowd suddenly became bathed in lights. The AF Chamber organized a number of fun events including a storyteller in the senior center, entertainment by TAF in the library rotunda, and a petting zoo filled with Santa’s animal friends. The line to see Santa wrapped around the entire children’s library, while Santa and Mrs. Claus lovingly greeted each of the children and their families. What a night! Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas! 🎅
