American Fork Children’s Choir

Join us for our annual Christmas in the Rotunda Concert, featuring the American Fork Children’s Choir Programs (Concert Choir, Ukulele Youth, Chimes & Voices), Happy Valley Ukes and YOU in our traditional audience participation caroling! The concert will feature some new tunes like A Noise on the Rooftop, Mi Burrito Sabanero, Sunny Christmas, and Little Lamb, Little Lamb as well as perennial favorites like Silent Night, Mary’s Little Boy Child, We Wish You a Merry Christmas and Up on the Housetop. Please join us early for prelude music by Happy Valley Ukes and if you want a seat at this perpetually ‘standing room only’ concert event. Merry Christmas to you!


American Fork Symphony

“Christmas in the Valley” Concert featuring Wayne Burton

Performer and songwriter Wayne Burton will present his seventh annual “Christmas in the Valley” with the American Fork Symphony as well as guest artists Monica Moore Smith, Shelley Soundz and the American Fork Children’s Choir Concert Choir.

The American Fork Symphony will present in concert the seventh annual “Christmas in the Valley” concert featuring musical guest Wayne Burton and guest artists Monica Moore Smith, Shelley Soundz and the American Fork Children’s Choir Concert Choir. Wayne Burton’s music is found in LDS church bookstores everywhere and featured on numerous LDS radio programs. He performed as part of the 2002 Winter Olympics music festival and has won the first place Award of Distinction in the General Church music contest. He has also had his music used on three albums for the popular EFY program. In all, Burton has contributed music to 21 other LDS albums besides his own. Monica Moore Smith played Julie Flinders in the 2016 film version of the musical “Saturday’s Warrior.” Shelley Soundz is the school choir at Shelley Elementary School in American Fork. The American Fork Children’s Choir Concert Choir is a program of the American Fork Arts Institute of the Timpanogos Arts Foundation.

American Fork Youth Theater Upcoming Auditions

AFYT auditions for Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids are 11/18/17 from 1-3pm at the American Fork Fitness Center, 454 N Center American Fork. Auditions are free. If cast, tuition is $150 and registration fee is $25. Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids is for 3rd-6th graders. Rehearsals will be on Wednesdays from 4-6 starting in January at the Am. American Fork Youth Theater Musical Theater Dance Class

Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m. American Fork Veterans Hall 53 North Center Am. Fork         $25 a month. This class is designed for boys and girls who are interested in learning dance technique to help them in their musical theater pursuits. We will focus on building jazz and ballet technique that will strengthen musical theater choreography skills. No registration, recital or costume fees. Contact Koreen at 801-368-5908 to register.

Care Center Concerts

Timpanogos Chorale sings at Stonehenge of American Fork & Heritage Care Center: 12/7/2017 at 6pm (Stonehenge) and 7pm (Heritage). Timpanogos Chorale is pleased to continue the tradition of bringing Christmas cheer to residents of local care centers where they will sing songs revealing “The Secret of Christmas.”

Christmas in the Rotunda Registration

Do your children love to draw??? Come have them get involved in the Christmas in the Rotunda sponsored by the American Fork Visual Arts. This will be a fun event that they won’t want to miss for ages 6-12. “Christmas in the Rotunda” an art exhibit for our young artists ages 6 to 12. The theme for the December art show is “Songs of the Season”. Encourage your artist to think of a song they hear at Christmas, a carol or Santa song. It can be a song about the winter weather and the fun we have in the snow. Registration of these delightful pictures will be Monday, November 27 from 2:00 to 5:00 in the American Fork Library Rotunda. There is no registration fee. Ribbons and 20 cash awards will be awarded. Framed pictures must have a wire extended across the back. Pictures can be matted and mounted on stiff paper, also. For more help call Sydney at 801.756.3738 or email sydthomas24@gmail.com.

Come get in the festive spirit of Christmas by visiting your beloved American Fork Library Balcony artist spotlight. The month of December will feature your local table time artists. This is some art you won’t want to pass up. FREE. Table Time has been a long beloved group of local artists who enjoy watercolor, oils, acrylic, and many more mediums.

Table Time at City Hall

Need to work on an art project, but feeling unmotivated? Bring your project down to city hall and visit with some amazing local artists while you work. 11/7/2017 10-2pm, 11/14/2017 10-2pm, 11/21/2017 10-2pm, 11/28/2017 10-2pm. American Fork City Hall, Room B. $10 punch card for 16 hours of table time. Bring your art project down to city hall on Tuesdays from 10-2pm. Table time is a long established group of local artist who range in all mediums and levels of art. Open to ages 20 and over. No small children please. Children 6-12 are invited to participate in a fun art adventure with talented artist Liz Evans. $25 registration includes 3 classes and all art supplies. Information needed to register is the name of the student, age, name of the class you are taking and a phone number or email address. Registration must be completed by the first day of class. *Checks must be made payable to the Timpanogos Arts Foundation or TAF. We can’t take credit or debit at this time. The November Art Class will be with Liz Evans. Feast on Art will feature new drawing lessons and creative, but varied experiences with watercolor, pastels, and colored pencil. Artist Liz Evans has many years teaching art with children.
