The Timpanogos Arts Foundation is delighted to announce that M. Ryan Taylor is returning as a director for the Timpanogos Youth Choirs, bringing with him innovative new opportunities for young musicians. Starting January 2025, the program will expand for the return of the Ukulele Youth Choir and the brand-new Hit It! Rhythm & Chimes Choir, in addition to the well-loved Youth Choir under the baton of Miriam Burton.
M. Ryan Taylor, a seasoned choral director and Kodály-certified developmental music education specialist, brings decades of expertise and a passion for fostering musical growth in young performers. Under his guidance, the Ukulele Youth Choir will introduce students to the joy of singing while accompanying themselves on ukuleles. Meanwhile, the Hit It! Rhythm & Chimes Choir will add to vocals a dynamic exploration of rhythm, chime, and percussion instruments, emphasizing movement, composition, and creativity.
“We’re thrilled to offer a diverse musical experience that encourages young musicians to explore, create, and thrive,” said Taylor. “These new choirs will complement our existing Youth Choir beautifully, providing a well-rounded program that nurtures a complete musician.”
Now, students can participate in one, two, or all three choirs for the same affordable tuition—$300 per year or $150 per semester, which includes materials such as t-shirts and sheet music. Rehearsals begin January 7th and 9th, offering children and teens an unmatched opportunity to grow through focused vocal training, hands-on instrumental skills, and the collaborative magic of music-making.
