To our American Fork Symphony friends old and new,

We’d LOVE your help! We’ve sent physical copies of our STY audition posters and trifolds to hundreds of schools and music teachers, but we also wanted to post a digital copy of these print materials for YOU! We’re hoping you will share this information with the talented young musicians, their teachers and parents within your circle. These materials are attached below. You can also share the americanforkarts.com/salute-to-youth-auditions link or direct applicants to AFSymphony.org.

In January, we’ll be reviewing video audition tapes from talented young musicians, aged 8 to 18, who would like to be featured as soloist with us. We’re accepting auditions from classically trained vocalists and instrumental musicians. We’ll also select a student conductor who will conduct our symphony in Johannes Brahms’ Hungarian Dance #5.

Being a featured soloist with a symphony orchestra can be a wonderful opportunity for a young musician. As these kids that you know prepare repertoire for their studio recitals, or for solo & ensemble events at school, we hope they’ll consider using their piece to audition with us.  Our application window is open now through January 11th. Selected finalists will be invited to an in-person audition on January 18th. The attachments can answer questions, or you’re welcome to contact us at americanforksymphony@gmail.com. Please help us to get the word out, and share our trifold or poster with a music teacher or a talented young person that you know.  Thanks so much!

If you missed last year’s concert, here are videos from a few of our soloists:
