As part of its 25th season, the American Fork Symphony will present the annual Salute to Youth concert on Monday, April 29, at 7:00 p.m. at the American Fork Jr. High School Auditorium. Seven talented youth from the area, ages 7 to 17, playing the clarinet, harp, oboe, piano, and violin, will have the opportunity to play with a full symphony orchestra. The youth will perform music ranging from Haydn to Rachmaninoff, and even a “Baroque Flamenco.” Additionally, the orchestra will play music from the “popular” musical Wicked, and from Saint-Saëns’ opera Sampson et Dalila the ruckus “Bacchanale.”
