Our theatre family has lost an amazing member this week. Merrilee Hunter has been apart of our foundation helping with many programs and did more productions with our group than we can count throughout the years. The lives she touched and the lessons she taught helped thousands of students. Many of us grew up taking her music classes and lessons, singing in her choirs and being directed by her in shows. Not only was she an incredible teacher with a hilarious personality but she was truly a remarkable friend. She deeply cared about all of her students and performers.
Merrilee has impacted our program and our lives so much that we have decided to celebrate her life and dedicate our “Mad About Broadway” performances to her next Friday and Saturday. We have added a new song to the show as well just for her and would like to invite all that knew her to join us and come sing along in remembrance.
We all loved Merrilee and we are so grateful we got the opportunity to learn from her. We will celebrate her as a legend for years to come!
