American Fork Children’s Choir
NEW STUDENTS WELCOME IN JANUARY
American Fork Children’s Choir programs will accept new students in January. Rehearsals for the Gator Choir, Ukulele Youth Choir and Concert Choir will begin January 22nd at Greenwood. Chimes & Voices Choir and the NEW Ukulele Youth 3-chord Choir (for beginners) will begin on January 23rd at Shelley Elementary. Tuition free thanks to the generous support of the American Fork PARC program. Please register early to ensure your place and allow the director time to plan for the ensembles. American Fork Symphony
“The Music of Animation”
The American Fork Symphony will present music from animated shows past and present in its February concert with a performance Monday, 02/12/1018, at 7 p.m. at the American Fork Junior High School Auditorium, 20 W. 1120 North. Tickets are $5 adults, $3 children 3-18, $15 family pass. Tickets are available at the door.
This concert will celebrate Saturday morning cartoons and more as the orchestra performs music from “The Flintstones,” “The Jetsons,” “The Pink Panther,” “Toy Story,” “Beauty and the Beast” and “The Incredibles” along with other recognizable tunes from animated movies and television shows.
American Fork Youth Theater
The Sound of Music G2K
American Fork Youth Theater presents the beloved musical The Sound of Music G2K, 01/11/18 at 7 pm, 01/12/18 at 7 pm & 01/13/18 at 3 pm and 7 pm at Mountain Ridge Junior High, 5525 W 10400 N in Highland. $5. Tickets can be purchased at http://bit.ly/AFYT-SoundOfMusic or at the door.
Come see talented teens from all over Utah County perform this beloved musical. Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Getting to Know Series are uniquely adapted musicals specifically for youth performers; the content has been edited to allow for a shortened run time (1 hr.), but your favorite characters and songs that make this show a classic are still in place. AFYT Bravo Class
Beginning Musical Theater Class for K-2nd graders on Wednesdays 4-5 p.m., January – March at the American Fork Fitness Center. $30. The Bravo Class performs three pre-shows for Jungle Book in March.
AFYT Musical Theater Dance Class
Class to help build jazz and ballet technique that will strengthen musical theater choreography skills. Tuesdays 4-5 p.m. January-March at the Am. Fork Veteran’s Hall. $25/month. This class is designed for boys and girls who are interested in learning dance technique to help them in their musical theater pursuits. We will focus on building jazz and ballet technique that will strengthen musical theater choreography skills. No recital or costume fees.
Wasatch Show Band
FULL Open rehearsals: Tuesdays 1/23 and 1/30/2018 from 7-9 PM, open to musicians who sing or play trombone, trumpet, or saxophone at the American Fork Arts Institute, 53 W Main St, American Fork. The 25-piece Wasatch Show Band AND 5 Singers, plays Rock, Funk and Jazz. To get an idea of who we are, think “Earth, Wind, and Fry Sauce.”

“Latin Sounds”
The Wasatch Winds will present a concert of Latin selections, including: Amparito Roca, Blue Mambo, Burnin, Fiesta de La Vida, It Had Better Be Tonight, La Virgen de la Macarena, Malaguena, Man of La Mancha, and Mojaves Claves on February 26th 7:30 PM at the AFHS Auditorium, 510 North 600 East in American Fork. Adults: $5, Students: $3. Immediate Family: $15. Kids 5 and under: Free. Credit cards accepted at the door.
